In order to content analysis of scientific journals of accounting published between 2009-2012, a research performed through content analysis by using a checklist. Results show that during researched years, about 1241 articles were published in mentioned journals, also it indicated a double and three-fold growth in the first years, and increasingly growth in the following years.2871 authors have contributed that 2365 of them are men and 506 are women. About 48% of participant have Phd degree and 36% have MA degree. In scientific ranking, 31% are assistants,12% are assistant professors, and educators and professors stand in the next steps.7% of articles have only one author and 93% are the results of grouping work. Among universities, Islamic Azad University with 571 articles stand in the first step and Tehran University with 175 articles in the second step. Also Rahnamay roudposhti, Rahmani, and Kordestani are known as the most prolific writers in this research. Although, 1299 of participants (45%) have not published only one article in a year. In the subjective area, most of the published articls (53%) are in the field of accounting, 27% in financial science and 8% in Auditing.

This study is concerned with analyzes the thematic content periodicals Financial Sciences of publications in scientific funding - as they are based on research in Iran since 1372-91  and compared with  finance magazine America in 1946- 2013 the ISI Impact Factor Rated 4.812 . Objective research approach to determine the content of the articles published in these journals in finance, also thematic areas defined by the objectives and financial publications in the field of Science. The population consists of six quarterly review published 546 articles in scientific- research paper published in the Journal of Finance in Iran and 4679 as finance and research using quantitative content analysis is. Review articles on topics including science, finance, accounting and issues of interdisciplinary publications published during the years 1372 and 1946 in Iran ever since America's. The topics include a subset of the nine financial engineering, financial management, investment and portfolio management, behavioral finance issues, neurotropic, Islamic finances, financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and interdisciplinary topics are divided. The results show that based on the articles in the highest percentage with 34% release, the articles related to financial management, investment management and portfolio 19% percent of the articles on the subject, 16% of articles in the interdisciplinary subject, 10% of articles on the subject of behavioral finance, neurotropic, 9% of articles to financial Engineering, 5% of articles to financial Accounting, 3% percent of the articles on the subject of Islamic finance (1%) percent of the articles subject to audit and lowest emissions by 03% of articles on the subject of management accounting. Finance magazine is also published results show that the highest percentage with 28% of articles on the subject of financial management, 24% of articles in the interdisciplinary subject, 16% of articles on the subject and portfolio investment management, 13% for articles on the subject of financial engineering, 10% of the behavioral finance literature on the subject, neurotropic, 9% percent of the articles on the subject of financial engineering, 3% of articles on the subject of management accounting, financial accounting and auditing issues papers, 2% and 0% with the financial issue Islam have been published. Accordingly, to address the financial management financial magazines of America and Iran, has been at the forefront of articles published in these journals. But along with selection diversity in professional journals, financial spheres as well.

Background and aim: With increasing competition in the scientific society, attention to the quality of journals has enhanced and different methods are used to evaluate the journals. Therefore, the aim of this study was to find a comprehensive view on the status of the performance of the valid journals in the field of accounting and finance in Iran by gathering different evaluation criteria. Material and methods: This evaluative study was conducted using a scientometric method. Evaluation criteria consisting 14 components were prepared based on studies performed in this field, data on various components were collected by referring to the website of the journals and databases, and finally, these data were analyzed using Excel. The statistical population was 18 and 9 accounting and financial journals, respectively. Findings: The findings showed that 66. 6% of journals were published by State universities and 33. 4% by other centers. According to the State Journal database, 3 journals were ranked A and the others B and C. No journal was ranked A+. The mean of immediacy index and impact factor were 0. 018 and 0. 253 in the accounting journals and 0. 015 and 0. 123 in the financial journals, respectively. Only one journal was indexed in 6 national and 4 international databases. Totally, 18% of the journals were indexed in 80% of these databases and the others in lower ranks. In summary, two journals of "Financial Accounting Research" and "Financial Knowledge of Securities Analysis" were ranked first in this field. Conclusion: Averagely, accounting journals have higher impact factor and cumulative citations compared with financial ones. It is necessary to pay attention to the quality of articles in financial journals and indexing in valid databases in accounting journals.

Leading scholars and publishers from ten countries have agreed a definition of predatory publishing. We present an article review leading to a guide for recognition of these journals.

Due to diversity and quick dissemination of information, journals have a higher number of audiences when compared with other information carriers. Nevertheless with the emerging new information technologies have contributed to the appeal and thriving of journals, Open Access Journals in particular. The present paper intends initially to discuss the open access movement that gave rise to the emergence of open access journals. It would then introduce modes of open access as well as the characteristics and definitions associated with OAJ. This would be followed up by a classification of OAJ along with their advantages. Means for financing such journals as well as directory of open access journals would be also discussed. Finally, the OAJ covered by ISI as well as those published by the top 20 countries who lead science production are presented.

The world of academia has seen an unprecedented outbreak of so-called “hijacked journals,” where hackers create counterfeit websites that pose as the legitimate of actual journals (1-4). After publishing several scientific papers about hijacked journals and phony publishers, I have received a lot of email from scholars around the world who express their distress about being cheated by journal hijackers and losing their own hard-won academic reputations. They are also concerned about others stealing their research findings. Consistently, the most frequent question I receive in these emails concerns one important issue: Is the legitimate author allowed to republish her/his article in a legitimate journal- or would that constitute duplicate publication? In this short article, I want to share important information and an idea with readers and scholars in the academic world about this timely topic.

objective: The aim of this research is to identify common characteristics of invalid journals and to analyse Iranian articles published in those journals. Methodology; In this study, Bibliometric methods are used. A checklist was used to collect information about journals included in the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology’ s Journals Black List (October 2013 Edition). Journals’ websites and bibliographic databases were used as the source of information. The number of Iranian articles published in those journals and fees paid by authors for publishing their articles were studied. Finding: Thirteen out of 17 characteristics of prestigious journals were not present in more than half of the blacklist journals. Only four characteristics were common in the majority of the journals. From 2011 to 2014, 9, 665 articles by Iranian authors were published in blacklist journals and a sum of 4, 298, 262 $ has been paid. It is the first research about characteristics of Black List Journals.

This paper aimed to study the citation behavior of the students of the school of veterinary medicine at Shahid Chamran University in the period of 1376-1380 using citation analysis which is one of the most important method of scientometric techniques. The core journals in this study were determined and compared with the list of the ISI journals to find out their impact factor ranked. Also the subjects of the studied dissertations were identified and compared with the subject catalogue of the Vet CD database in order to identify the subject areas which were probably less considered.

Introduction: Studies published sources, reflecting the pattern of resource use by researchers that could be the basis for most libraries in order to used collection library material. This study is athe comparative study of citation behavior and Iranian and New Zealand journals of public health author’s group participation in DOAJ database between the years 2010 – 2012.Methods: The method in this study is a bibliometrics research with of using citation analysis and cross–sectional. In addition to that the co-authority method was used too. The research society was 10 journals regarding public health chosen from Iran and New Zealand. the date of the journals was like each other. The date was gathered through referring to database DOAJ and searching public health journals of Iran and New Zealand.23239 cites were chosen from those journals and it was done with the use of Excel and description statistics.Results: The results indicates Iran that with 9 of 4.10% in the fifth and New Zealand with magazine number 8 equals 3.65 percentage ranks sixth in the journals indexed in DOAJ database. Iran and New Zealand whit total of 850 citations of journal articles 78.7 present of Iran and 21.3% of New Zealanders have published articles with by 23, 239 citations from articles 77.5% of the country and a 5.22% of the New Zealand Journal of Iranian paper average 93.26 has been cited text. A total of 669 articles published from Iran, 4.9% of the articles without peer and 95.1 of the co-author of articles in the field of public health have been and a total of 181 articles published in New Zealand, 11.5% of the papers without peer and an 88.95% co-author of articles. The findings showed that collaboration index of Iran and New Zealand, respectively, for each degree, 4.40, and 3.93.Conclusion: Overall, the findings indicate that there is a cooperative involvement of a group of researchers in the field of public health and the country is New Zealand that in contrast to other studies conducted in different areas of the course the group contributions.
